Heinz Baby Food Recall

We recently read the disturbing news that Health Canada has recalled Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2 as it “may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A”. This toxin is produced by particular fungi that are often found growing in certain grain crops, as well as other foods. Ochratoxin A has been classified as a potential carcinogen and has been known to cause immunosuppression/toxicity in animals.
