Works Wonders has a special place in our hearts at Better Baby Bums. This wonderful skincare line has been with us from the start, and is made by our friend Barb. Her products are as local as they come. The Marigolds (Calendula Officinalis) are grown in her own gardens, all coming from an original plant brought over from Germany many years ago.

Mention in the Calgary Herald

This morning I got a Google Web Alert notifying me that we got a mention in the Calgary Herald. Naturally Safe from the Swine

Chemical companies are the only ones out there welcoming the H1N1 virus (swine flu) with open arms. Why, you ask? Because there are many scared parents out there trying to protect their families from a potentially fatal illness. Never have the bulging muscles of Mr. Clean seemed so appealing. Who better to come to our rescue?
My motivation for this post is that I was watching TV the other night and saw a chemical cleaning company’s commercial which began with, “Are you protecting your family from H1N1?” Before I got angry, I first applauded their marketing genius. I then had to add my own lines to their commercial, “Would you like your child to get cancer? Have reproductive problems? Get respiratory diseases? Then do we have the product for you!”
Argh… Did you know that chemical disinfectants have to be registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as they are classified as pesticides? Read more…
