Chlorinated Pools Linked to Infant Lung Infection and Asthma

A recent report in the European Respiratory Journal, shows that there could be a link between children that swim in chlorinated pools before the age of 2 and infant lung infection, asthma and respiratory allergies later in life.

Finding the right baby bottle- thanks to OrganicKidz

When my firstborn was a baby I had oodles of breast milk in the freezer. We introduced her to the bottle at around 6 weeks and she would often enjoy some bonding time with her Papa while he fed her the bottle of milk that I had just expressed (for those of you with a gaggle of kids like I now have please feel free to snicker).

Plastics and Flame Retardants Linked to Infertility

Another reason to decrease the number of plastic products in your home and stay away from products that have flame retardant on them. PBDE, found in these products, are strongly linked to Thyroid problems which plays an important role in fertility.

And now for a glimpse into my glamorous life... Bless him for trying but the other day as my three-year-old son was “taking care of business” his curiosity got the better of him. Iʼm still trying to get the facts straight but hereʼs how I think it went down... In the process of his “clean-up” he must have finished the previously half-full toilet paper roll and then added the cardboard tube as well. And since it didnʼt completely flush the first time, perhaps letʼs try flushing again. And again. And again.
