Back to Cloth for the Rest of “Diaper-hood” Thanks to Sweet Pea

When I had the twins, I used cloth diapers a lot of the time from when they were around 3 months until they were around 9 months. My diaper of choice at that time was Sckoon Organic Cloth. I still have much love for these diapers, but I found that they fit really small. Their small fit lent themselves well to my girls who were preemies (3 pounds and change each at birth) but as they grew, even their petite figures were too much for the largest size. Given the nature of our business, we are lucky enough to be able to test out a wide variety of products. Only those that we love pass the test and make it onto our site. Heinz Baby Food Recall

We recently read the disturbing news that Health Canada has recalled Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2 as it “may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A”. This toxin is produced by particular fungi that are often found growing in certain grain crops, as well as other foods. Ochratoxin A has been classified as a potential carcinogen and has been known to cause immunosuppression/toxicity in animals. The Story of Works Wonders

Works Wonders has a special place in our hearts at Better Baby Bums. This wonderful skincare line has been with us from the start, and is made by our friend Barb. Her products are as local as they come. The Marigolds (Calendula Officinalis) are grown in her own gardens, all coming from an original plant brought over from Germany many years ago.

This morning I got a Google Web Alert notifying me that we got a mention in the Calgary Herald.
